Lord

Is Jesus truly LORD in your life?

Does human logic and wisdom claim supremacy over Christ's lordship?
Or is your life ruled instead by emotional claims?

Do you know what it means to follow Christ above all else? Against worldly wisdom. Against emotional ties and tides.

Not okay

Are you okay with your life?

Consider that jesus came to those who were not okay... As those who claim to follow him,do we count ourselves among those unhappy with how things are? Those with a hunger that is unsatisfied by any worldly thing. A desire for things above.

Kingdom building

To those who wish to follow christ:

If you are not pouring time, energy and resources into the kingdom of God.

You are probably building sandcastles that you will weep over as it is washed away in the waves of God's kingdom come...

Ridiculousness....

I was making non-rational decisions yesterday. Mo was the one telling me that. She was like... Doing that doesn't make any sense! So I've had some time to reflect on that. She's totally spot on. I didn't try to deny it. But when I consider a great, awesome, and holy God who draws close to sinful, stubborn, spiteful, vengeful, mercenary,... people like us. I follow a God who chooses love over being rational. The cross... TOTALLY irrational. A God who both demands punishment, yet takes the punishment in our stead? Yet, this is the story in which Christians are called to abide...

Here's to irrational.

Cheers,

H
